Cleaning Your Wool Area Rug

Does your wool area rug need a little love? The best way to get it clean is to never let it get dirty. Vacuum your wool area rug as often as possible.

However, there will be times when you have no choice but to get it cleaned. Here are some ways to do that:

• have it dry cleaned
• have it steam cleaned
• test on a small area with Woolite. If your wool area rug handles it well then clean the whole rug. You can even pull it outside and lay on concrete. Hose it down, use Woolite and then scrub the rug. Hose it down again and then let it air dry but don't put it in the direct sun.
